Pinterest Rebooted

Things have been a little slow for me since “summer” started, so I’ve had a little more time on my hands.  Means more time to work on the things I’ve been neglecting, like my pinterest account.  I did a major over haul on it.  Cleared out unnecessary boards and pins.  It’s now all clean and sparkling with a few new fresh boards.

The For My BJD board is obviously for stuff I find to use for my ball jointed doll.  A few clothing pattern tutorials, some wigs I’m eyeing, etc.

Some highlights include:

• Doll Underwear

The Pretty Accessories board is devoted to things like jewelry, hair accessories, etc. that I think are pretty enough to try to make or to inspire further creation.

• Button and Jump Ring Bracelet

And finally the Summer 2015 board.  A board specifically for this summer. 

Some highlights include:

• Light Up Fireflies
• Mason Jar 4th of July Décor
• Tie Dye Folding Techniques

And as always with seasonal and holiday boards, I add pins throughout the whole year not just that season.

Thinking of the Seasons

What does Fall mean to you? 

To some it means back to school or campus.  New clothes, supplies and the like. 

It also means cooler weather, which for me means being able to go outside with clothing on and not feel hot. 

There are tons of things to think about when Fall comes.  The ending of Summer vacation and start of new schedules and events, the closeness of holidays like Halloween and all too close to Thanksgiving and Christmas.

For me it’s also another year gone by.  My birthday is in October so this time of year I start thinking of what it means to be a year older. 

Have I grown wiser, do I look my age yet, and am I a better person than before?  The age thing never seems to happen (I got mistaken for a high school student again) but I believe I have improved in other areas. 

And I look forward to more growth and improvement as I grow older.  It does seem fitting to be growing a year during a time of new beginnings such as this.  Guess it’s pretty good to be a fall baby.
