Mission Complete

Yay, I finished the list!  I got to work over the weekend and now it’s all done.

photos 127 For the butterflies, I used perler beads and made them into magnets.  I goofed up on the first one I made and it got a little too melted.  I also accidently got some beads stuck to my iron, but I got them off alright.

photos 128 I messed up on the first oven mitt as well, but try, try again.   I think this one came out well, or at least okay.  As long as it will protect you from scorching yourself, it’s fine right?  I love the shape of it and I want to make tons more in other colors.

photos 143 The cell phone sleeping bag isn’t perfect, but I love it.  I decided to keep it for myself, doesn’t my phone look all warm and snuggly.  It’s roomy enough to stash other necessities inside too.

photos 145 The headbands weren’t as easy as I thought they’d be because I had trouble with the closure.

And the pink and black one took extra time to assemble, but they were worth the effort.

Now these bottle cap pins were a lot of fun to make.  Lots of gluing, painting, beads and glitter went into them.  It did take forever for them to dry, but again it was still so much fun.

Now the finished list:

  • Ribbon headbands
  • Jean waistband cuffs
  • Jewelry with crescent moons and stars
  • Tote bag with umbrella appliqués
  • Something square
  • Watermelon shaped oven mitts, maybe with matching accessories
  • Cell phone sleeping bag
  • Change purse key chains
  • Monster plush key chains
  • Strawberry pins and magnets
  • Painted binder clips
  • bottle cap pins
  • zipper charms
  • butterflies

Ah, isn’t it great to see a completed list.  But, now what am I going to do next.  Hmmm.

  2. WOW! I wish my list looked like that! In fact, I wish I had a list. LOL! All my ideas are in my head. I do need to write them down though.

Personally, I don't call them "mistakes", I call them characteristics. It just sounds better, doesn't it?

  3. I guess mistake isn't the word for it, maybe just a mis-direction. The failed oven mitt would make a cute hat for a stuff animal or something.
