Something New with Food and a Sweet Update

I’ve recently gotten in to putting salsa on everything, just to try it out.  Here are some ways to use it that I’ve personally enjoyed.
  • Grilled cheese sandwich dipped in salsa—think of it as a thicker, spicier version of tomato soup.
  • cream cheese and salsa sandwich—I find they both compliment each other well, it’s also good if you’re a wimp for spicy foods.
  • salsa on baked potato—it’s a classic choice.  Actually anything on a baked potato is a good choice.
  • salsa in pasta—for one of those days when you are out of spaghetti sauce.
  • baked with goat cheese and spread on French bread—this is from a recipe I got from a book called Recipes From a Vegetarian Goddess.photos 100
I also finished the strawberry pins from my list.  I was going to make magnets, but I’m getting sick of them.  I cut out the pieces from felt, glued them together, and then zig-zag stitched all around.  Add a pin back and they’re set.
Now the updated list:
  • Ribbon headbands
  • Jean waistband cuffs
  • Jewelry with crescent moons and stars
  • Tote bag with umbrella appliqués
  • Something square
  • Watermelon shaped oven mitts, maybe with matching accessories
  • Cell phone sleeping bag
  • Change purse key chains
  • Monster plush key chains
  • Strawberry pins and magnets
  • Painted binder clips
  • bottle cap pins
  • zipper charms
  • butterflies
Six down, eight to go.

  1. I admire your ability to work through a list like this...well done! And I love salsa too...put it together with low fat sour cream and you've got most things covered!
